THE HOUSE OF Sovereign Truth
No schedule. No set theme. No workbook. A topic from life, talked through the way the conversation actually goes, with the Scriptures and the other books used as part of the discussion. Every passage shown, chapter and verse, before anyone says what it means.
The way it happens at the table,
not the way it happens in a workbook.
You already know this study. It's the one that starts over coffee, in the car, on the phone, with whatever is actually on somebody's mind. Sometimes a question. Sometimes just a thought that came up.
A topic comes up
A question a friend asked. Something a stranger said. A thought that would not leave. No set order, because life doesn't come in one.
The book gets opened
The passage itself, read in full and in context, including the books most studies never open. You see exactly what the text says before anyone says what it means.
We talk it through
The way the conversation really goes. Questions stay questions when the text doesn't settle them. And where the text carries numbers, the study follows the numbers.
The whole shelf, not the approved shelf.
Every discussion shows its sources, every passage is read where it sits, and what the text says is kept separate from what anybody wants it to say.
The Scriptures
The Bible itself, read closely: the stories, the sayings, the letters, the strange parts most studies step around. Chapter and verse, every time.
The Other Books
The apocrypha and the writings that circulated alongside Scripture but didn't make the canon. Used in the discussions with the same care, and with honesty about what is known and not known about each one.
Written the way they happened.
Each discussion is published here and sent to the study list as it's written, in no set order and on no set day, because that is not how the conversations come.
“Does the Bible Have a Purpose”?
No conversation behind this one, just the question under every other question this House takes up. Does the Bible have a purpose, what is it, and does it still hold in 2026 and beyond? The books inside it answer for themselves, and one of the other books says most of what was written was sealed. Read the discussion →
“Militaries Were First Established in Biblical Times”?
A spinoff of the first discussion. Most church services never point out that the Bible speaks of militaries at all, so the House opened the book to find where the armies come from: Nimrod, nine kings at war, Abram’s trained men, Pharaoh’s chariots, and Israel’s own army walking out of Egypt. “The Bible Teaches Non‑Violence”?
It started nowhere near the Bible: a conversation about the ugliness in the world drifted to the military, and to the claim that the Bible teaches only non-violence. So the House opened the book. Read the discussion →
